Size guide

A print looks right when its size suits the wall and the furniture beneath it. Use this page to choose before you open an artwork.

Choosing a size

Measure the wall space, or the width of the sofa, bed or sideboard the piece will hang above. A common rule of thumb is that a single piece fills about two thirds of that width. For a large wall, choose one large piece instead of several small ones; for a narrow space, a smaller piece or a vertical one works better.

Hang the centre of the piece at about eye level, around 145 cm (57 in) from the floor. Sizes on the shop are given with the longer side first.

What you receive

Canvas print: the canvas is stretched over a 1.25-inch (3.2 cm) pine frame, so the piece stands out about that much from the wall. Hanging hardware is pre-installed.

Float-frame canvas: a canvas in a frame of your chosen colour (black, espresso, natural or white), ready to hang.

Poster: printed on paper without a frame, to be framed to your taste.
